ProMark WIndow Film & Blinds Inc. supplied and installed manual operated roller shades, Privacy Frosted Film, and Solar Control Film for the new Communitech expansion at the Kitchener Tannery.

Communitech is a not-for-profit organization that supports technology companies in Waterloo Region and promotes the area as a technology cluster. Their programs and events connect professionals, share ideas, and strengthen companies.

(Above) Madico’s SunScape SL-180-CSR was installed on a large door to add heat reduction as well as reduce a large amount of glare where a roller shade application was impracticable

Etch K Privacy Film was added to all interior offices and meeting rooms to add privacy as well as match the existing communitech space.

Tannery – Google – Frosted Film and Roller Shade Installation

ProMark was contacted to install frosted film on interior offices and some exterior glazings along with manual and motorized roller shades for interior and exterior facing windows for the first floor and third floor additions.

(Below) Clear Velvet frosted film was applied to interior offices to add privacy to work areas while still allowing light to flow throughout the space.

(below) Manual operated roller shades where added to all exterior windows. A tight 1% weave was chosen for high glare reduction

(Below) on the south facing side of the building blackout blinds were added in front of the !% shades to allow more light control

(Below) Motorized shades where added to upper windows on the south side, again both 1% and blackout shades where used.

3M Fasara Arpa Installation at Langs Farm

ProMark WIndow FIlm and Blinds Inc. was hired to supply and install 3M Fasara Arpa on two stairwells and banaster at the new Langs Farm location in Cambridge. The film adds a decorative element as well as providing privacy to people walking on the second floor.

The film on the banister was installed on the non traffic side of the glass using a sissor lift to insure the film cannot be damaged.

The railings and hardware were removed on the stairwells to insure a seamless and clean installation.

Kitchener Tannery Building – Desire2Learn

ProMark Window Film & Blinds Inc. was contacted to do work on the 2nd floor of the old tannery building located down town Kitchener, future home to Desire2Learn. ProMark supplied and installed three separate products for the project: Roller Shades, Computer Cut Frosted Film, and Trasparent Coloured Film.

The tannery offered unique challenges as it is such an old building. Mounting roller shades in the outer windows required wood blocks to be mounted above the drywall prior to the installation of the shades to insure solid mountings. ProMark installed manual operated roller shades with a 3 % openness and with a 3 inch aluminium fascia.

Interior office sliding glass doors were enhanced with computer cut designs to add privacy along with adding to the overall look of the workspace.

Transparent coloured film was added to a glass wall in a employee common room with part of Desire2Learn’s logo designed into it.

Coloured Transparent Film Application

Transparent coloured films come in a wide range of colours to match any design. because of the way the product is manufactured, it makes it perfect for computer cutting; including patterns shapes or company logos. You could even use the colours for standard manifestation dots or squares.

ProMark WIndow Film & Blinds Inc. was contracted to install coloured transparent film at the Family and Children’s Services. The outside glass wall that divides the playground was clear glazing that was filmed with a second glazing installed after the film application to protect the film between the two glazings. The Glazings on the building itself where already frosted glass but the film was added to add colour the final result was a frosted colour look which really improved the overall look and feel of the building.

sunshades were installed in the de-icing tower to cut down on heat and glare during the day but allow the employees to roll them up at night for unobstructed views.

SunShades are custom made at our manufacturing facility in Waterloo Ontario. We have been making quality blinds using Madicos transparent Shade Material since 1983. Historical Building Preservation Projects

We have been organizing photos and we came across some historical buildings we have done work on in the past. These buildings all have Madicos CLS-200-XSR applied to their windows to dramatically reduce fading and protect the historical interior of the buildings. Some of the projects also feature our historical reproduction cotton roller shades.

Solar Control Roller Shades – Seniors Home

A seniors home was having too much light coming into their activites room causing glare on their projector screen making it hard for their residents to see what was projected.

The solution was to install fixed 1% density solar screens on the top windows while installing operable 1% solar roller shades on the bottom windows. Spring assist was added to ensure easy operation of the shades
